Booking and Payment

We will discuss your requirements, and devise a structure to your time with me to make the most out of your visit to the Avalon Marshes.
Full payment is required to complete a booking. This can be made by bank transfer or cheque.
When your details and payment have been received and tour details agreed, you will be sent a booking confirmation. This confirmation binds the client to accept the terms and conditions laid out here.
For last minute bookings, prior payment by bank transfer is preferred, but settlement by cash or cheque before the tour starts is acceptable.When your details and payment have been received and tour details agreed, you will be sent a booking confirmation. Your Tour
Typically, we will meet at the car park of a nature reserve. To maximise time 'in the field' we will generally either stay at this one location, or visit other adjacent reserves.
For full day tours, we may take a break for lunch, and then move to a different location nearby. You can choose how to take your lunch, bring a packed lunch to eat on-site, or visit a local pub or tea-rooms, it's up to you.
Most of the reserves we visit have hides or viewing platforms, so if you prefer a slower pace of birding, we can sit and wait to see what shows up. For those who are comfortable with walking longer distances, there are many trail networks for us to explore.

You should bring your own optics if you have them. I will have a telescope for your use to provide close up views of anything that sits still long enough. I also have a limited number of binoculars available for your use, kindly provided by Opticron.
